Mike Craft

Mike Craft is responsible for overseeing the financial affairs of all hotels developed and managed by Peabody Hotel Group. Since joining Peabody Hotel Group in 1994, he has managed the accounting, finance, internal audit, information technology and purchasing functions of the company. Most recently, Mike managed the financial, borrowing and purchasing aspects of the $450 million expansion of Peabody Orlando, one of the largest Forbes Four-Star, AAA Four Diamond hotels in the eastern half of the United States and a landmark in the Orlando meetings and conventions market. Prior to joining Peabody Hotel Group, Mike was an officer with a major resort development and management firm in Orlando, and provided financial management for its hotel, sales, mortgage, operations and country club divisions. In addition, Mike worked with Arthur Andersen & Company, Certified Public Accountants, for eleven years, with a concentration on the hospitality and real estate industries, as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Mike is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Hotel Accounting Executive and Certified Hospitality Technology Professional. He currently is vice-chairman of the American Hotel and Lodging Association's Committee on Financial Management and a member of its Accounting Standards Subcommittee, which is responsible for setting accounting and financial reporting policy for the hospitality industry. He also serves on the AH&LA committee responsible for the maintenance of the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry.
Mike lives in Memphis with his wife, Holly. He has two adult children, one of which lives in Memphis and the other lives in Chicago. |
