Carol Braslow
Corporate Director of Purchasing
Carol Braslow joined Peabody Hotel Group in 1997 as Corporate Director of Purchasing. In her role , as Corporate Director of Purchasing she is responsible for refurbishment projects, capital purchases, and national contracts for the Hotels owned and managed by Peabody Hotel Group. In addition, Carol works on setting product standards in The Peabody Hotels. In 2010, Carol managed the purchasing of a $450 million renovation and expansion of The Peabody Orlando hotel. The Peabody Orlando is one of the largest Forbes Four-Star, AAA Four Diamond hotels in the eastern half of the United States and a landmark in the Orlando meetings and conventions market. The massive expansion and renovation of The Peabody Orlando included 1,641 guestrooms and 300,000 square feet of meeting space.
Carol grew up around a small family Hotel in Long Beach, New York. Carol began her purchasing career with Rockresorts in New York City. Following Rockresorts, Carol was the Purchasing Manager for Denihan Hospitality (formerly known as Manhattan East Suite Hotels), Corporate Purchasing Director for Doral Hotels and Corporate Purchasing Director for Meridian Hotels in North America. Carol has been an active member of NEWH (Network of Executive Woman in Hospitality).
In 1999 Carol received Employee of the Year for Peabody Hotel Group.
Carol is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport where she earned her B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and Retail Technology with a minor in Art.
Carol lives in Memphis, TN with her husband Sam. Carol and Sam have five grown children. Carol serves on the Governor’s Advisory Council for Traumatic Brain Injury and is active member in events that benefit those with a Traumatic Brain Injury. |
